Weald TTC was established in 2001 evolving from Benenden TTC which was established in 1994 by Diccon Gray with help from Jeremy Harrington. Regularly assisted by Martin Chinn and John Standing, Ken Muhr has run coaching at Weald TTC for over 15 years. In that time, we have attracted a huge number of juniors from the local schools and surrounding area, as well as senior players both local and from further afield to take advantage of the quality sessions the Club has offered. Among them grew some excellent players, such as Lewis Gray, Yolanda King, Lisa Standen, Daniel Lawrence, Luke Savill, Jack and Josh Bennett, James Smith and Helshan Weerasinghe. Many of these players have progressed to reach international standard. In 2006, the club venue became the the South East Performance Centre and this continues to successfully develop the potential of the top South East young players.

FAQs

How much does it cost?
The first session for every new player is free. We can supply all the equipment required although we do recommend that regular players purchase their own bat at some point.
What should I wear?
Non-slip and non-marking trainers. Shorts, skirt or loose trousers. T-Shirt (not white or orange please!).
What should I bring?
A bat if you have one but don't worry if you don't - we'll have one you can borrow for free. A drinks bottle and a towel come in handy too!
Can I watch?
Of course. We have chairs available for spectators but we encourage you to join in!
Can I help?
Yes! We're always looking for new helpers. Please contact us.
What session should I attend?
We recommend that every new player attends the beginner's session on a Monday evening at least once. If you wish to attend a different session, please speak to a coach or contact us.
Is there parking?
Yes. There is always ample free parking available right outside the hall.
Am I required to supervise my child?
Not at all. All our coaches have received extensive First Aid and Safeguarding Children training. However, we do expect good behaviour from all our players and encourage parents to join in!
